Tech organizations are not precisely short of utilizing acting in their promotions, yet Sonos' most recent business — first indicated a week ago and again amid this evening's Grammy Awards — takes the cake. The 90-second clasp utilizes ominous music, HBO-ish camera channels, and a riff on Apple's popular "1984" Mac business, granting the message that lone Sonos speakers can stop you carrying on with a forlorn life.
The promotion begins with a nearby up of a lady's face, tuning in as she moans about the "quiet" that has fallen in homes the country over. We gaze through windows of favor lofts, taking a gander at all around prepared individuals in faultless homes overlooking each other for their cell phones as her voiceover discloses to us that "it's recently wrong." But rather this is no scrutinize of free enterprise, or the American way, or even the dehumanizing effec of innovation — she's griping on the grounds that the general population she's watching haven't dropped many dollars on Sonos speakers.
It resembles the most middle class rendition of Fight Club believable, and it closes with our judgmental storyteller tossing a Sonos speaker through a glass window, much the same as Anya Major in Apple's notable '80s advertisement. As the speaker takes off into the home, music fills the air, by one means or another joining couples, companions, and families in joyous festival that their windows are currently crushed and they're compelled to tune in to another person's loathsome music taste.
