Some iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus Matte Black Users Complain of Chipped Paint

Numerous Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus clients are making a beeline for the Apple Support discussion to gripe that the paint on their cell phones is chipping off months in the wake of getting it. Clients protest that their Black (otherwise known as Matte Black) variation is chipping off paint on the edges and back, despite the fact that they have been protected with a defensive case. 

The Black variation was reintroduced by Apple with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and by the looks of these early objections, it isn't staying put on the iPhone 7 outline. The vast majority of the grievances are from iPhone 7 Plus clients, and the shading appears to chip off from the edges and the back. Just to disambiguate, there are two Black shading variations for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus - Black and Jet Black, which is the reason the previous is called Matte Black to help separate it from the last mentioned.
